THICK and thin

• Thick client means a standalone application with lots of functionality

• A thin client means a web based application with less functionality

• Rich Internet Applications combine the web with rich functionality e.g. Ajax+Flex

• We think there is a need for both

• We adopted thick because we think thick is still easier and offers more functionality
