Tools

A number of tools are available from the main XOP window

XOP Pods: Some tools available from the PODS or TABS. Useful to define the Current Directory, among other things.

A number of toolsare available from the Xop menu in the main XOP windows

• Load files

• Load extension: for loading an installing XOP extension

• Load application input file: loads an XOP's application input file (usually *.xop) and starts the corresponding application.

• XOP appearence/environment:

• Show/Edit environment: editor for environment variables used by XOP

• Change Color Table

• Set default color table

• Change Widget Fonts

A number of utilities are available from the Tools menu in the main XOP windows

• Xplot (Plots): XY-data analysis and visualization

• EXODUS (Datasets): Manipulate datasets (from SPEC files and others)

• FuFiFa (Fits): Perform non-linear fits with a user-defined function on a collection of datasets

• Xplot2d (Images): Analysis of scientific images, with applications to x-ray diffraction (visualization, calibration, azimuthal integration, etc.)

• XOP_Macro: edits and runs XOP macros (scripts in IDL syntax with limited functionality).

• IDL iTools: Access to these popular IDL graphic applications

• File Editor: a very simple editor.

• Display File...very simple file viewer and editor

• Calculator

• Shell terminal
